...and the freezer...and the freezer in the basement...and the stockpile of dry goods on a shelf in the basement. As I said in the first post, I have a slight problem with food stockpiling. Its not that I am a big eater or a big cook for that matter. I just like to have stuff on hand. A lot of stuff. Due to many factors including a double preschool bill this month, a late paycheck, and bills, bills, bills, we are a little tight on cash so no grocery shopping for me this week (except milk for the kiddo). Since I have the aforementioned stockpile, we will certainly not starve. I should mention that I have already been about a week since the last grocery trip. That means that we are out of most of the little convenience things like bread and cheese. Mmmm…I could live on bread and cheese. Maybe a little mint chocolate chip ice cream here and there too. So, my first simple task is to feed my husband, my son and myself for a week on what we already have and make absolutely no stops in the Duncan Donuts so conveniently located on my way to work. Okay, sure, no problem. Here goes.
Oh, and it is 7:15 at night and I haven’t given the first thought to what we will eat tonight. Cereal anyone???
